French flax linen, why we use it against other sources

French Flax Linen

The French are not only famous for their great wines we enjoy, but also the wine of fabrics, Flax Linen. This isn't the generic term linen covering many fabric types but the real linen from flax fibers. At Marc Oliver wanted to bring you some of our French heritage using this genuine product.

In summer you will find many fields like this in flower, beautifying the landscape with this lovely blue. From here comes the world renown French Flax.

Southern France is amoungst the best areas in the world to produce high quality flax. It is here that our raw materials are grown and made into thread.

From here we source quality flax to be woven, dyed  and sewn by dedicated Indian workers who for generations have worked with this versatile fabric. Our facility is 'Sedex' registered to assure you the dedicated workers who make these wonderful products work in acceptable conditions & are treated fairly and not explointed.

This brings you a quality product at sensible prices.

Flax is more planet friendly in its cultivation than cotton as it doesn't require the high volume of water. A large portion of the plant is used, stem & branches for flax, seeds are what we know as Linseed which we eat or have the oil  extracted as Linseed Oil for all sorts of timber preservation.
